In 2015, 43.5 million family members, friends and neighbors helped care for someone 50 or over, according to a study by the National Association for Caregiving and AARP. While caregivers for seniors receive many emotionally rewarding benefits, they may also experience occasional feelings of anger, frustration, exhaustion, loneliness or sadness. But if you don’t care for yourself, you won’t be able to take care of anyone else.

It’s a Proud Time to Live at Clarendale of St. Peters

Our management company, Life Care Services®, An LCS® Company, was ranked highest in Customer Satisfaction among Senior Living Communities in the J.D. Power study. This award demonstrates that residents and their families are receiving the care and service they absolutely deserve.

The award for Highest in Customer Satisfaction among Senior Living Communities encompasses seven individual resident-experience factors. We’re excited to say that, not only did Life Care Services win the overall category, but it also ranked highest within each of the seven factors:

  • Resident Services and Activities
  • Community Staff
  • Food and Beverage
  • New Resident Orientation
  • Resident Cost
  • Community and Grounds
  • Resident Apartment Unit

“Our company is committed to providing the resources for communities to deliver an exceptional resident experience driven by innovation, signature programs and quality services. The J.D. Power award represents the voice of the senior living customer, and I can’t think of a more important voice than that of the residents we serve,” says Joel Nelson, LCS president and CEO.

At Clarendale of St. Peters, we strive to bring the Life Care Services resident-first mentality into our everyday actions. In its unbiased comprehensive study, J.D. Power surveyed 3,021 residents, family members and friends of residents living in communities across the United States. Life Care services scored a full 49 index points above the next highest-performing senior living organization. We are grateful and humbled to receive this honor, especially since it comes from the people we work so hard to serve each day.

How to select a senior living community where you can live, love and laugh.

You’ve decided you are going to move to a senior living community. Where do you start? First of all, congratulate yourself if you’ve made that decision before you or your spouse has experienced major health problems. You’ve probably saved your family a lot of stress.

Donna Quinn Robbins, founder and president of Ultimate Moves, a San Francisco Bay area business, says seniors who plan ahead are well adjusted and happy. “On the other hand, those who avoid facing the inevitable aging process … are often the most traumatized by a sudden move. This move is usually precipitated by a crisis,” she said.

Robbins’ business is dedicated to serving seniors in transition and helping them and their families with the process of moving into senior living communities.

Clarendale of St. Peters Names Executive Director and Announces Their All-New Senior Living Community Information Center is Now Open

By Community News

St. Peters, Missouri (July 2, 2019) – Clarendale of St. Peters, the senior living community currently under construction off I-70 at the intersection of Mexico Road and Dubray Drive in St. Peters, has hired Mark Golliday to serve as executive director of their independent living, assisted living and memory care community. With the community scheduled to open early next year, a new information center has been opened at 1 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, Suite 230.

“I’m delighted to be joining Clarendale of St. Peters—especially now,” says Golliday. “It will be a pleasure greeting St. Charles County seniors and their families at our information center and introducing them to Clarendale, which will offer a unique combination of residential amenities, exceptional hospitality services and social opportunities seldom found in other senior living communities.”

Golliday brings more than 32 years of experience in senior living to his executive leadership role at Clarendale of St. Peters, including a Nursing Home Administrator license in Missouri.  Additionally, his resume demonstrates a proven commitment to service with more than 29 years in the United States Army and United States Army Reserves, concluding with a rank of Command Sergeant Major. Golliday holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management, as well as a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science Administration from Lindenwood University.

“I know St. Peters seniors and their families will appreciate the unique benefits of village-style living. Clarendale of St. Peters will offer a gracious, comfortable residential setting that helps residents live life to the fullest, staying connected to the people, places and things they most enjoy,” Golliday says.

Located approximately 30 miles east of metropolitan St. Louis via I-70 at the intersection of Mexico Road and Dubray Drive in St. Peters, Clarendale of St. Peters will offer independent living, assisted living and memory care under one roof with a focus on connected living.

Golliday explains: “At Clarendale of St. Peters, the emphasis is on services and programs that provide the opportunity to stay a part of, and involved in, mainstream living, as well as fostering relationships with family and others outside the community. Residents will be right in the heart of it all—just one mile from St. Charles County’s largest shopping center—Mid Rivers Mall. Shopping options, restaurants and a 14-screen Marcus Theatre are practically at your door. Plus, Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital is less than three miles away for added peace of mind.”

The all-inclusive retirement living community will offer a variety of floor plan options. Residents may choose from private one- and two-bedroom apartments in both independent living and assisted living. Studio suites will also be available in assisted living and memory care. Residents will enjoy access to community spaces for socializing and entertaining, including a restaurant-style dining room and casual bistro, a pub, craft room, salon and fitness center.

In addition to on-site Clarendale health and wellness opportunities, including exercise classes and cardio/strength equipment, residents will find the St. Peters Rec-Plex located just under two miles away. Memberships are available at a senior discount with access to active older-adult programs, including age-restricted 50+ fitness classes, aqua aerobics in the indoor pool and a walking club with scheduled sessions on the indoor rubberized track.

For more information about the community, Golliday may be reached at the information center located at 1 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, Suite 230 in St. Peters, or by phone at (636) 706-5100. Details are also available on the community’s website at
